Due to the current circumstances, the Dairy Maids and Gents 4-H Club had their most recent May meeting through Google Slides. Like the last meeting, each slide consisted of videos from different members. During this meeting Halle Tomecko led the club in the pledge of allegiance, and Brantly Tomecko the 4-H pledge. Next, president Alissa Goldfuss informed the club that 4-H enrollment is closed, which means those that have signed up for a project must now complete it and are unable to switch projects. The Co-president Sydnee Corwin reminded everyone to check the website for important project announcements or any changes in dates. She also encouraged kids to stay active in the community during these tough times, as we will be unable to do a community service project as a group this year, and she encouraged members to send thank you letters to those companies that have supported us financially. A project was given to the cloverbuds to help the discover the properties of oil and water.

The Dairy Maids and Gents 4-H club  recently held a virtual meeting. This meeting consisted of videos from different officers updating the club on 4-H news. The club’s co-president, Sydnee Corwin, explained to members how to use the extension office’s website to access project books so members can get a good start on their project. Next, Alissa Goldfuss, a health officer, explained tips on how to protect yourself from the Coronavirus. She included tips on washing your hands and the importance of getting enough sleep and drinking plenty of water. Videos were also shown by safety officers Cole Hudson and Isaac Stirm. Cole explained what you should do to stay safe on your four-wheeler.   As it is  mowing season, Isaac explained how to mow safely. Finally, Sheba Sulser told the club about important upcoming and posted dates, such as when livestock animals should be in your possession, hatch dates for poultry, and tag days. Quality Assurance will  be soon, however there is no official date yet. She also announced that family consumer science, miscellaneous, and clothing project judging is July 16 from 9 to 4.
