4-H Club News Reporter Submission for 2023

Club Meeting Reports- Kilbourne Klovers 4-H Club

  • Officers were elected at the Monday, February 6, 2023 meeting.  Makenzie Sweeney will serve as president of the Kilbourne Clovers 4H club this year. 
    • Other new officers are:Vice President - Oliver OberlanderSecretary and News Reporter - Aubrey EvansTreasurer - Savannah ClarkHistorian and Health Officer - Kaden SweeneySafety Officer - Dylan EvansSign-In Officer - Kaden Sweeney and Robby Kalb, and Recreation Leader - Ethan Byrne
  • The Bucyrus Kilbourne Klovers held its 2nd meeting Monday, March 6th, 2023.  10 Members; 5 Cloverbuds; 6 Advisors; and 10 parents/other visitors; a total of 31 people attended.  Our club began planning fundraisers and community projects for the year.  The advisors shared this year’s fair theme “Country Nights and Carnival Lights”.  4-H Camp was explained to new members and those who have not attended.
  • The Bucyrus Kilbourne Klovers held its 3rd meeting Monday, March 20th, 2023.  10 Members; 5 Cloverbuds; 7 Advisors; and 11 parents/other visitors; a total of 33 people attended.  The club had the Officer Installation Ceremony and recognized each officer.  Dates were shared for the Quality Assurance Program and for fundraisers.  T-shirt designs and community service projects were discussed.
  • The Bucyrus Kilbourne Klovers held its 4th meeting Monday, April 3rd, 2023.  9 Members; 5 Cloverbuds; 7 Advisors; and 9 parents/other visitors attended, for a total of 30 people.  The Krispy Kreme Donut fundraiser began, and forms were passed out.  Members volunteered for various 4-H committees to provide leadership and success for our 2023 Fair. 
  • The Bucyrus Kilbourne Klovers held its 5th meeting Monday, April 17th, 2023.  8 Members; 7 Cloverbuds; 7 Advisors; and 9 parents/other visitors attended, for a total of 31 people.  Makenzie Sweeney lead the New Member Ceremony and congratulated our new members. We also collected the Krispy Kreme order forms and money.
  • The Bucyrus Kilbourne Klovers held its 6th meeting Monday, May 1st, 2023.  9 Members; 7 Cloverbuds; 7 Advisors; and 7 parents/other visitors attended, for a total of 30 people.  The Krispy Kreme Donuts were picked up by parents and members to take home.  We also discussed our T-Shirt colors and lettering colors and decided on light purple shirts with yellow lettering.
  • The Bucyrus Kilbourne Klovers met on Saturday, May 13th, 2023 to take cookies and Thank You cards to show appreciation to The Bucyrus Police Department, Fire Department, and Sheriff’s Station.  Then, the club headed to the Humane Society in Bucyrus to give donations and tour the building. These are community service traditions for the club.
  • The Bucyrus Kilbourne Klovers held its 8th meeting Monday, June 5th, 2023.  4 Members; 0 Cloverbuds and 7 Advisors attended.  Members and advisors discussed Fair Awards, decorating the Fair Booth, and the Skillathon.  Members stayed after the meeting to plant flowers and give to people to brighten their day.  
  • The Bucyrus Kilbourne Klovers held its 9th meeting Monday, June 12th, 2023.  6 Members; 3 Cloverbuds; 6 Advisors; and 4 parents/other visitors attended, for a total of 19 people. Forms and money were turned in for cheese and bratwurst.  Members discussed how excited they are to work in the new food stand.

  • The Bucyrus Kilbourne Klovers held its 11th meeting Monday, June 26th, 2023.  7 Members; 4 Cloverbuds; 4 Advisors; and 4 parents/other visitors attended, for a total of 19 people. Sandy Fankhauser and members discussed decorating the Fair Booth and what to bring to decorate. Bratwurst, cheese, and T-Shirts were passed out at the meeting.
