Besides your 4-H Animal Project Book whatelse is available to help you learn more about your specific species?
For almost every 4-H Animal Project there is a Project Resourse Handbook. The resource handbook contain subject matter specific to your 4-H animal and is an excellent resource and teaching tool for skillathon.
At least 1 copy of every livestock resource book will be available for youth or clubs to borrow for 1-2 weeks at a time. Books can be reserved by call the OSU Extension Office at 419-562-8731, email: lewis.780@osu.edu, or stop in the office.
If you would like to purchase a livestock resource book, please call our office to place order. However, you may want to contact your 4-H club to see if they have a lending library set up.
Also available are the 4-H Learning Lab Kits. These kits are your answer for species-specific, hands-on, learning materials used for teaching and evaluating knowledge of livestock and companion animals. Kits we have are: beef, dairy, horse, poultry, rabbit, sheep, and swine. Kits can be reserved by call the OSU Extension Office at 419-562-8731, email: lewis.780@osu.edu, or stop in the office.
