Did you know that the Crawford County Extension office is a "branch office of The Ohio State University? Ohio State University Extension is funded through the U.S. Department of Agriculture, The Ohio State University, and Crawford County Commissioners. Our Crawford County office is your front door to The Ohio State University.

We are the world's largest non-formal educational system. Our practical educational programs combine the needs of local citizens and communities, with new research and technical information.

Overall, Extension's mission is to help improve and strengthen the lives of Ohioans and we want to start right here in Crawford County. We have answers for communities and individuals. Our clients are Ohioans - rural, urban, all ages, sizes and races. Our clients are YOU.

We are trying to get an assessment of herbicide resistance in Ohio pigweed populations, including smooth and redroot pigweed, waterhemp, and Palmer amaranth. One mechanism for this is to sample small pigweed plants from fields in May and June, bring them back to our greenhouse, and treat them with the herbicides of interest. We obviously need help finding the pigweed populations.

All Thank you notes will be due to the OSU Extension Office by the close of the business day Aug. 31, 2013. If they are not received by this date, the Exhibitor will forfeit his/her premium money from the sale. The money will be returned to the buyer along with an explanation of why it is being returned. You will be entitled to your base bid money.
